Stroller Question
Ok, another post for Mom's out there. I previously posted about needing to replace my carseat and and for those of you out there who didn't know that carseats expire, they do.It is 6 years after the date of manufacture. Granted, it's a safety thing so you could always keep using yours but I figure I should replace it and then I could use it for the third kid and not worry. By the way, I've decided to get a whole new travel system because it makes sense for the money I'd be plunking down. Anywho, I've done a little online shopping/research and even done a little footwork around to some stores. I have made my list of the ones I like by price and then by brand/look. They are not the same (SHOCKER). So here is my next question. Do you guys have a preferred brand? Know of a brand that is NOT good, one I should avoid? I had Graco before and I loved it. Really sturdy stroller, knew it was a good brand, etc. Problem is, Graco is more expensive than say, Cosco or Safety 1st. The cheapest one I found (and therefore Mark's favorite) is a Cosco Sprinter Travel System. It looks slimmer and not as sturdy as my Graco. I don't really want to give up my Graco stroller for a lame one if Cosco isn't good. Is it good? Is it not? Sigh. Dilemmas. I'm sick of doing "research." I just want one and to be done. Then my top one that I like the look/brand is Graco, but there is almost a $70 difference in price! Yikes! So please tell me your thoughts on Graco, Evenflo, Baby Trend, Safety 1st and Cosco. Those are my top faves for look/brand and then for price too. Hopefully I can figure this out soon and give a sigh of relief!!

Hey, Val! I just bought a Baby Trend Sit 'N' Stand that allows the little one to ride up front (you just pop the carseat into the stroller and when they're bigger, they can sit in a recline-able seat) while the older kid gets to sit backwards on a little bench or stand and hold on (while strapped in) while you're out and about. I especially like it because it's easy to use AND fits in the back of my miniscule compact trunk. But I've also used the Chicco Cortina travel system and love it (that's the carseat Tamsin's using right now, which fits in the Sit 'N" Stand perfectly). We've just been storing the stroller part since Camryn's not really big enough to walk all by her onesies. Just a thought!
We prefer Graco for infant car seats. I'm not sure which model you like but I came across a great deal the other day. This car seat: http://www.amazon.com/Graco-Travel-System-Barcelona-Bluegrass/dp/B002RL7UQC/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1283619279&sr=8-1-fkmr0
then price match on diapers.com- currently 127.49(call and ask them to price match amazon's price)they will ask for your email and add a coupon to your account that will activate when you add the item to your cart. Then if you are a new customer there is a promotional code SLICKWIPES for an additional 15% off. Then there is free shipping on $49. That should get you a really nice travel system for around $108 shipped!
Sorry, I said car seat, but meant travel system. :)
Hey! I just read your posts and email, so I will email ya my thoughts!
