Halloween!
Yes, I just had a baby and should probably be writing about him. But I never got around to posting about Halloween! So I am going to try to hurry and do that (as fast as the pics can upload) and then get around to the fun news of our baby.
Halloween week was awesome, as usual. I always try to do some other things besides just trick or treating. We went to Lagoon's Frightmares. Very rainy day (there was a trend with that this year...) but Cailen had a blast. He was sad the ferris wheel was closed but loved the sky ride, train, cars, and special Halloween activities.
First time on the Ladybug ride! I was surprised he wanted to go, but he did so I let him! He was a little scared but thought it was fun. Way to go Cailen!! (However, I don't think it will be a ride he frequents for quite some time...)
We also went to a couple carnival type events - one at St. Olaf's and one at Davis High. We also went to the Pumpkinpalooza at the Utah Botanical Center. Cailen got to do lots of crafts at the botanical center and lots of games at the carnivals. It was a lot of fun!
My sister in law Wendy had a good idea to take the kids the day BEFORE Halloween to get pictures of them in their costumes. Brilliant! We got some great shots of all the kids!
Isn't my niece Becca the CUTEST Bo Peep there ever was? And it just so happened we had Buzz there to hang out :)
We also hosted the annual Crappy/Cheesy Halloween movie night with some friends. This years movie: Killer Clowns from Outer Space. Wow. Lame. But creepy too. It was definitely a winner. I highly recommend it!! Haha.
Our friends Zak and Tina (tigers) and John and Amber (from Juno! yes, Amber is actually pregnant)
The 1st Annual Ping Pong Tournament - John won!
Then, on Halloween, we relaxed during the day and prepped for our night out....then it rained. FANTASTIC. Not. We went out anyway. My brother Ryan came with us around the neighborhood a little and then Cailen and I headed to meet up with Mark to do some trick or treating with cousins. It was still all rainy, but we pressed on (hey, this was our candy too he was getting!). We went around Mark's sister Wendy's neighborhood (she was a trooper to walk around with us, her kids were DONE) and then we went to our brother in law Craig's mom's house and her neighborhood. THEN we went to our sister in law Amy's mom's house and saw the Talking Pumpkin (I don't have pics of that, I need to get them from Amy). Yes, lots of people were expecting us to visit :) We also stopped by our old neighborhood and visited with our good friends the Goodriches. We were definitely racing from one thing to the next! After allllll that walking in the wet weather, we headed over to Craig and Trisha's house to hang out with the family, eat some good food, and warm up! It was a great night, as you can see from the pics. As we do every year (at least a few more years, maybe?), our family had a family theme for our costumes :) We were from (obviously) Toy Story! Popular this year, I know, but Cailen LOVES it and he got a Buzz costume for his birthday this year and so we thought that would be PERFECT! And who makes a better Mrs. Potato Head than a pregnant woman?? No one! I let Mark choose who he wanted to be from Toy Story and he chose Slinky Dog. I think we make a pretty good bunch, wouldn't you say? All in all, another fun Halloween holiday!

We had our baby!! Many of you may have already heard, but it's about time it was documented on the blog too :) However, I have to get all the pictures together and pick which out of the millions (ok, only like 600...yes, I said 600) pictures I want to put up here! But, I will give you all the stats so you know about our new little man! Then, later, when I have a liiiiittttttle more energy, I will give you the full scoop.

Fall Leaves Photo Shoot
Ok, so this is just going to be a massive post of pictures. But I'm trying to catch up!! Here is another "photo shoot." Mostly family will enjoy this :) But I couldn't cut any out! There were just so many silly shots of Cailen and some cute ones. I admit (again), I'm not the best photographer and didn't edit these. Also...Cailen's hair was looking...interesting...this day. It is quite flat. Obviously, I'm also working on figuring out male beauty routines. (How the heck do guys "style" their hair?!). Anyway, we had gone with his cousins to this field with LOTS of fun leaves to take pictures of the kiddos in the Halloween costumes (that'll come in the next post!) and I thought I'd take the opportunity to catch some cute fall pictures...again. There is ONE picture I attempted to edit on Picasa at the end. Cailen didn't help me out. He is sitting on my lap wanting to play computer games and I'm trying to get dinner ready, so humor me on the editing job as well as this post! Halloween will hopefully come tomorrow!!

Almost there!!
So my due date is less than 2 weeks away. ACK! Kinda nerve racking but very exciting! I am anxious to just be DONE with it so I don't have to anticipate it anymore, but I am also VERY aware that my life is going to change drastically by having not just ONE but TWO kiddos. So...guess that means I'll just be quiet and take whatever happens because I don't have much of a choice. I haven't been sleeping well lately though, so that's been kind of a bummer. I have slept on the couch bed two nights now hoping that 1) Cailen won't bug me in the middle of the night as much - he'll just bug Mark 2) I won't wake up as much in the middle of the night due to both Cailen climbing in wanting to sleep with us or Mark rolling over, moving, you know, BREATHING, whatever it is that is causing me to wake up so darn much and 3) I won't wake up before dawn because...well I don't know the cause of that either but I'd like to sleep past 5 am. It's been kinda lonely. And plus, Cailen came to ME this morning instead of going in our room. Dang it. Can't trick him now, he knows where to find me. I think maybe tonight is the last night of that attempt and then I'll just go back in my room. I'm lonely and it seems to be pointless :) Anywho, I also thought I'd get the most recent picture of me up here so that I can show off the GINORMOUS belly I have. Actually, this one isn't too bad because it is my 8 month pic so this is from Oct 20. I need to take a new one for my so-called 9 month pic because I could TECHNICALLY go into labor at any moment. Which I am hoping for. Because then at least the sleepless nights would count for SOMETHING (aka. feeding a baby). And then I won't be huge. And then I can stop getting asked if I've had the baby yet (umm, NO) and I can start being able to see my feet again [side note: today at church I went to the bathroom before Relief Society and apparently leaned up against the sink when washing my hands. I walked out of the bathroom, down the hall, said hello to some people and sat down all before realizing I had a HUGE wet spot on the underside of my belly from the darn sink. Stupid big belly. Couldn't see a thing and apparently didn't feel it either. And I had to say the opening prayer. Great. Needless to say, I did not go to the front of the room. They can deal.] K, so here's me at 8 months and here's hoping that now this is posted, the baby will feel like his pregnancy has been dutifully recorded and he can make his appearance...we'll see!!
P.S. I look gross but I'm too prego to care at this point.
