January - Busy Month

As I went to load the pictures for this month to try to catch up, I realized how much we did this month!

2 months old!

Celebrating mine and my nephews bdays (he turned 8! I turned, blah, 27)

Cailen loves when his uncle Mike turns him upside down to "shake all the money out." They're all trying to do this :)

So the uncles oblige.

Out to celebrate! At Tucanos, YUM! If I'm going to get a year older, I might as well get some good food out of it.

My friend Maggie was in town on my bday! Yay! We went to lunch. Just getting out was a fabulous way to spend my bday, thanks Maggie!

Free pass at Boondocks for my bday, so Cailen joined me for a reeeeaaaalllly cold ride on the go carts. It was lots of fun though!

Oh man, does this kid love the bath. I wrote a little in the post about Jex turning 4 months. I will have to get a video up soon because he just goes NUTS! It's fun to watch him have so much fun.

Jex is 2 months old!

Jex turned 2 months old Jan 11, 2011! What a big boy he is now! He is learning to smile and talk...umm, coo. He loves to be held. He loves his new bouncy seat he got for Christmas. He has perfected pooping out of diapers. He must like to change his clothes. He hasn't made it a habit yet, but Jex is a trooper at night! He usually goes about 5 or 6 hours. But he has slept 9 or 10 hours at least a few times, so I have high hopes! We love our munchkin and we're looking forward to all the changes that will be coming in the next few months!

A wee behind

No I'm not talking about Jex's rear end, although it's pretty cute.

So I know, I know. The holidays were forever ago!! But I will eventually post about all the awesome things in December (sister's visit, baby blessing, Christmas and New Year's Eve), I promise. For those that like to stay in the loop about the Barbers :) So stay tuned!

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011

Before the new year came, we had a little fun celebrating 2010. First we went to Discovery Gateway with some cousins. Fun times all around. (Warning, videos may not work. I'm cursed with anything electronic)

For Christmas, Mark gave me some tickets to Desert Star. We went New Year's Eve, which was WAY fun! THANKS BABE!

Celebrating New Year's at Mark's sister's house. Scary baby...

HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's tradition that on New Year's Day we go sledding. So we did and had lots of fun! Jex even came out and joined everyone. Ha.

(Cailen hates going down because he gets sprayed in the face, so we tried to fix that situation)

(my dad waited until pretty much everyone was gone and then quickly ran, grabbed a sled and went down the hill. I caught him though and snapped this pic)

If this video works, it's Cailen with my sister Michelle dancing to the Just Dance game on the Wii. He loves it, it's hilarious. There is a kids version and it is just perfect for him!

Sledding video...maybe.
