I used to think my son had it down. He was awesome at saying prayers. He could even think of things to say on his own! He loved to say prayers, he pretty much said every prayer whether it be for a meal or the family prayer and definitely loved to say his own bedtime prayers. Uh, things have changed. He now lays on the floor or sits on the other side of the room or tries to read books or ANYTHING else he can do besides say his prayers! It is so frustrating because I loooved hearing him pray. It was so cute listening him to thank his Heavenly Father for his mommy and daddy and the assortment of toys and objects in the nearby vicinity that he would list. It was cute when he would remember to pray for his dad to come home safe, things like that. Pssh, those days are gone. So here is my plea. Does anyone have any suggestions for prayers? Any tips? A certain order of things that works for your kid? We have been having him pray before he goes to sleep, which he doesn't like, so I wonder if that is putting him off of saying prayers because he knows what comes next. Sigh. Any insight into this would be much appreciated. I want my little prayer-sayer back!

haha, you are funny with your disclaimer on how those pics are not of Cailen.
Stone kind of went through that, too! But he likes them now. NOW he insists on saying EVERY prayer and he refuses help when we try to add anything to it. We kind of did reverse phsycology and said, "no no, it's mommy's turn, she'll say the prayer." and he freaked out and said, "no! Stone's turn". It's just a phase...
